Services For Mrs. Dan Carter Were Fri., May 2

Mrs. Ethel Clyde Carter, 69, died Thursday, May 1, at 10:10 a.m. at her home
on Route 3, Winnfield, following a long illness.  Funeral services were held
at 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 2, at the Bethlehem Baptist Church, under direction
of Southern Funeral Home.  Officiating were ministers Rev. Wilmer Jordan, D.
W. McDaniel, Ernie Yocum, Rev. W. F. Harrell.  Interment was in the Bethlehem
Cemetery.

She was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Mrs. Carter is survived by her husband, Dan L. Carter, Sr., of Rt. 3,
Winnfield; one son, D. L. Carter, Jr., Rt. 3, Winnfield; one daughter, Mrs.
Travis Taylor, Winnfield; two brothers, Joe Martin, Goldonna, and Bill Martin,
Castor, La.; 10 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Pallbearers, nephews of the deceased, were Kermit Martin, Jim Martin, Cortez
martin, Ray Martin, Shelby Martin, Garland Lee Carter, James Malone, Jimmy
Martin.
