Mishap With Skidder Kills Negro Man, 25

A 25 year old Negro man, Jersey Holden, Jr., 501 MacArthur, was killed

driving, overturned.

The accident occurred seven miles south of Winnfield off Highway 34 in the

when the machine overturned, pinning the operator under it.

Holden began working for Futch Timber Company as a truck driver, Tuesday,
April 1. He had previously worked for Futch for a few weeks last year as a
skidder operator.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda, of Winnfield; his mother, Bessie Holden of
Winnfield; and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral arrangements are pending at the Ben Johnson Funeral Home.
