Double Rites September 27 For Mr., Mrs. Holly

A double funeral service for Walter P. and his wife, Mrs. Fannie Velle Holly,
both of Sikes, was held at 11 a.m. September 27, 1967 in the Sikes Baptist
Church, with the Rev. Willie James officiating.

Burials were in Sikes Cemetery.

Mr. Holly died around 4 p.m. Monday and his wife, Fannie Holly, died around 6
p.m. Tuesday.  Both Mr. and Mrs. Holly died in a Winnfield hospital after
lengthy illnesses.

Their survivors include one son, Stanley Holly, Shreveport; one daughter, Mrs.
Blondell Barlow, Monroe; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.  It addition,
Mr. Holly is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Ross Parker, Dodson, and Mrs.
Homer Brister of West Monroe.

Pallbearers were Almon Antley, Harlan Thompson, Woodrow Fordham, John
Gulledge, Jay Gates, Grady Simmons, Jim Kelly, and Onis McMurry.
