Mrs. J. T. Jones Succumbs After Long Illness

Mrs. Martha Garner Jones, 69, wife of J. T. Jones of Calvin, died at her home
Thursday, April 27, 1945, following a long illness.  Funeral services were
held at Calvin with the Rev. M. York, Baptist minister, officiating.  Burial
was in the Teagle Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home.

A native of Winn Parish, Mrs. Jones spent practically her entire life here. 
She was a member of the Baptist Church.

Surviving besides her husband are two daughters, Mrs. Beatrice Wardlaw and
Mrs. Louisa Lowdermilk, of Calvin; one son, Earl Jones Henderson, Texas; one
sister, Mrs. G. P. Long, Sr., Winnfield; and one brother, R. L. Garner of
Crowville, La.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
