Homer E. Smith, 66, of Winnfield, died Tuesday, November 6, 1977 at 9:45 p.m.
in Lincoln General Hospital in Ruston after a lengthy illness.

Mr. Smith was a member of East Winnfield Baptist Church, a native of Winn
Parish, and a retired employee of Illinois Central Railroad.

Funeral services will be at Southern Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. J. L. Holt
officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ollene Smith of Winnfield; one son, Robert
Smith of Natchitoches, two daughters, Mrs. Linda Kinchen of Baton Rouge, Miss
Julianne Smith of New Orleans, one brother, Clayton Smith of Shreveport, one
sister, Mrs. S. J. Russell of Rayne, La., and five grandchildren.
