Mrs. Guidry aged 65 died at her home here Thursday morning and was buried yesterday at St. Joseph cemetery. Mrs. Guidry was an old resident of Rayne, and while her death was not unexpected, it came as a shock to her many friends. She has been a sufferer for many months and the end was foreseen early in the week. She is survived by a large family of grown sons and daughters residing in various portions of the state. Her funeral took place yesterday at 10 oclock from the residence of her son, Arthur Guidry. Rayne Tribune

Mrs. Guidry was the mother of our genial Band Master, A.W. Guidry.
