SEVENTH WARD OF ACADIA CREATED

July 25, 1908

The act causing to be created the Seventh Ward, of which our Senator Barousse is the author, is now in effect, and a police juror will soon be appointed for same by Gov. Sanders. A part of the act is as follows:

The seventh ward will comprise and contain all that portion of the present third ward as not designated and defined and lying between situated west of a line beginning at the southwest corner of Section ten in township eight south of range one east; thence running north in a straight line to the northern boundary of Acadia parish.
