GUN AND KNIFE FIGHT NEAR VILLE PLATTE

At a ball Saturday night at the house of Andrew Johnson, in Little Mamou, three miles from Ville Platte, the following persons were seriously wounded in a general fight. Des and Buddie Guillory, John Deshotels, Charlie Thompson and Ave Ardoin. Pistols and knives were used. John Deshotels and Charlie Thompson clasped their left hands together and fought with knives until Thompson dropped mortally wounded, while Deshotels was cut almost to pieces.
