| The case of Louisiana vs. R.L. Bradley, indited for cutting with intent to kill, was tried to a jury this morning. District Attorney Campbell appeared for the state, and Montgomery and Taylor represented the defendant. The jury returned a verdict of not guilty. | |

| In the district court Friday morning sentence was passed on a number of convicts. | |
| Louis Baptiste, who was tried under several indictments, was sentenced under four convictions as follows: Entering in the night, 5 years in the penitentiary; shooting with intent to murder, 20 years in pen; burglary and larceny, 10 years in pen, making 45 years to serve. | |
| Wm. Arthur was given 10 sentences of six months each on a conviction for larceny. | |
| Charles Hardy, convicted for horse stealing, was sentenced to 5 years in penitentiary. | |

| S. Primeaux | larceny, found guilty. Released until Saturday on $200. bond. |
