Death of Mrs. Leon Gautreau. - Mrs. Leon Gautreau, aged sixty-seven years, 
died at her home near Gonzales at 8 o'clock p. m. last Sunday from an attack 
of heart failure, with which malady she had been afflicted for several 
years. She is survived by her husband and twelve children, to-wit: Serville, 
Louis, Simon, Ulysses, Julien and Joseph Gautreau, and Mesdames Felix 
Duplessis, Edmond Blouin, Prudhomme Gautreau, Sosthene Babin, Daniel Parent 
and Jules Gautreau. All of her children are married, their ages ranging from 
twenty-two to forty-eight years. Mrs. Gautreau also leaves forty-eight 
grand-children and a large number of other relatives to mourn her loss. She 
was married to Mr. Gautreau forty-nine years ago and had resided at Gonzales 
during her entire life being one of the best-known and most highly respected 
residents of that community.
