(Donaldsonville, La.) 1871-current, July 17, 1886, page 3 KAHN -- LEVY Married. - LEVY - KAHN. - In Donaldsonville, La., on July 14, at the residence of the bride's parents, Miss HENRIETTE LEVY, of this town, to Mr. FELIX KAHN, of Lafourche. The grim old weather clerk, who had been opening the flood gates for weeks and weeks previously, ordered an extra fine day for the nuptials of Miss Henriette Levy and Mr. Felix Kahn. The little residence of Mr. and Mrs. Lazard Levy was filled to overflow by friends of the young couple, who had sent before them evidences of their esteem and good-will in numerous and costly presents, while the absent ones sent congratulatory telegrams galore. The room in which the ceremony was performed by Rabbi Maurice Eisenberg, was profusely decorated with floral offerings, prominent among which were a large horseshoe and wedding bell of natural flowers beneath which the bridal pair stood to pledge their nuptial troth. Mr. and Mrs. Kahn left for New Orleans on the evening train, enroute for their future home near Thibodaux, being accompanied to the depot by a host of friends who showered rice and good wishes on the departing pair. The Chief adds its felicitations and tenders thanks for the generous slice of wedding cake which found its way to the editorial den.
