Mrs. R. Chatham Dies After Long Illness

Mrs. Ruby C. Chatham, age 83, of Chatham, died in Glenwood Hospital in West Monroe Sunday morning after a long illness.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Brooklyn Methodist Church near Chatham, with Rev. Garrett and Rev. Otis Smith conducting.

Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Spears Funeral Home of Ruston.

Survivors include six sons, Rutherford Chatham, Doyal Chatham and Royal Chatham, all of West Monroe, J. D. Chatham of Eros and Leroy Chatham and Bert Chatham; both of Chatham, two daughters, Mrs. Beulah Osbon and Mrs. Ethel Works, both of West Monroe; one sister, Mrs. Mertie Barnes of West Monroe; 35 grandchildren also survive.

Pallbearers were Howard Chatham, Lloyd Chatham, James Osbon, Richard Chatham, Richard Works and Bill Osbon.
