Funeral services for Henry Washington
Plunkett, age 62, of Jonesboro were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 18, in
the McDonald Memorial Baptist Church. Rev. Richard Shreve and Rev. Harry Tipton
conducted the services.
Burial was in the Little Hope Cemetery near
Castor under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Jonesboro. Mr. Plunkett
died early Thursday morning in the Hodge Clinic after a long illness. He was a
retired employee of Continental Can Company.
Survivors include his widow,
Mrs. Clara Plunkett; eight sons, Cedric Plunkett, Cecil Plunkett, Murl Plunkett,
Veril Plunkett, John Plunkett, Douglas Plunkett, Robert Plunkett and J.W.
Plunkett, all of Jonesboro; one daughter, Mrs. Ruby Robinson of Baton Rouge; two
brothers, Walter Plunkett of Minden and Frankie Plunkett of Yadama, Washington;
two sisters, Mrs. Tavie Mangham of Jonesboro and Mrs. Pearl Jones of Minden; 25
grandchildren also survive.
