James Edward Arceneaux


James Edward Arceneaux (11 Jan 1913 - 14 Oct 1965) was drafted in May 1942, at the age of 28. He served overseas

for 14 months as an aircraft maintenance officer with the 486th Army Air Forces Base Unit, Continental Air Force. He

served in North Africa from February 1943 to October 1943, then in Italy until April 1944.  He then trained in San Antonio

for Officers Candidate School and was honorably discharged as a 1st lieutenant on September 12, 1945.
