The deceased was a native of Lafourche parish, where, for many years, he was recognized as one of the best plantation managers in the partish, but with the decline of the sugar industry he decided to withdraw from it and pursue some other line. Thus a few years ago he went to New Orleans and opened a grocery, which he operated until his death. Mr. Guillot is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Gaston Aucoin, of New Orleans, a son, Mr. Walter Guillot, manager of the Uncle Sam plantation, of Convent, La., and a sister, who is Mrs. F. J. Guillot, of 610 Green Street, Thibodaux.
