Bessie D. Voisin

Bessie Duplantis Voisin, 66, a native of Grand Caillou and a resident of
Theriot, died Sunday evening.

She was a well-known artist in the area and a member of the Terrebonne
Fine Arts Guild. She donated paintings to Ducks Unlimited and the WYES
auctions. Served on the Welfare Board for a few years, Commission of
Voting for Ward 10 for many years, and was a member of the Ladies Altar
Society of St. Eloi Catholic Church.

Visitation will be from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral
Home and resume 10 a.m. Tuesday until funeral time.

The funeral will be 4 p.m. Tuesday at St. Eloi Catholic Church.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery in Theriot.

Survivors include her husband, Wilbert J. Voisin; two sons, Gerald
Voisin of Bayou Dularge and Kenneth Voisin of Theriot; one daughter,
Mrs. Marc (Cynthia) Minyard of Oklahoma City, Okla.; four sisters, Miss
Janet Duplantis of Houma, Mrs. Alvin (Gladys) Boudreaux of Grand
Caillou, Mrs. Nathan (Nell) Champagne of Wales and Mrs. Randy (Betty)
Jennings of Georgetown, Texas; and four grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Alexina Bourg and Wilsey
Duplantis; and one sister, Miss Ruth M. Duplantis.
