Meliean Plaisance

Meliean Plaisance Jr., 72, a native of Larose and a resident of
Raceland, died 0:20 p.m. Wednesday in Houma.

Visitation will be from 4:30 p.m. Sunday until II p.m. and resume 7 a.m.
Monday at the Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland.

The funeral will be Monday, times are pending, at St. Mary Catholic
Church in Raceland.

Burial follows in the church cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Irene Gautheir Plaisance; three sons, Wilson
Plaisance of Norco, Wilfred and Clifford Plaisance of Raceland; three
daughters, Tracy Plaisance of Avondale, Mrs. Steven (Dorothy) Bouwhius
of Wellsville, Utah; Glenda Laiche of Raceland; two brothers, Albert and
Charley Plaisance; four sisters, Mrs. Thomas Parks, Mrs. Pelican
Dempster, Mrs. Laura Mauer and Miss Alcide Vedros; 14 grandchildren; and
four step-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Meliean Plaisance and Enola
Bernard Plaisance; two brothers, Anatole and Noah Plaisance; and one
sister, Mrs. Manola Bourg.

Falgout Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Addition

In the obituary notice for Meliean Plaisance, which appeared in
Thursday's edition of the Houma Daily Courier, the funeral home would
like to also add the name of a deceased son, Anthony Plaisance.

The funeral time is 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church in
Raceland.

Visitation will be from 4:30 p.m. until 11 p.m. today at the funeral
home and resume 7 a.m. Monday until funeral time.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland is handling the arrangements.
