Ivy Authement

Ivy "Fatty" Authement, 68, a resident of Grand Caillou, died early this
morning after a lengthy illness.

He was the Justice of the Peace for Ward 4, for 44 years. The President
of the Waterworks District no. 2, for 30 years; a Notary Public, for 44
years and a member of the Advisory Board of the Bank of Terrebonne.

He was owner and operator of Ivy Authement Ice Co.; served on the Board
of Directors for Authement Packing Company and A.J. Authement Co., Inc.

Visitation will begin this evening at the Chauvin Funeral Home until 11
p.m., resuming 9 a.m. Wednesday till funeral time.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church.

Burial will be at St. Francis no. 2 Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Leona Martin; two daughters, Carolyn Pitre
and Marlene Darcey; four brothers, Calvin, Eugene, Huey, and A.J.
Authement Jr.; three sisters, Emily Voisin, Gertrude Fonseca and
Marjorie Foret; and four grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Alphonse J. Authement, Sr. and
Octavia Hebert; one brother, Horace and one sister, Gladys Domangue.

Chauvin Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
