Feb. 28, 1982 William 'Buddy" Brown William S. "Buddy" Brown, 66, a native of Baton Rouge and resident of Opelousas, died 6:20 p.m. Saturday in Doctors Hospital in Opelousas. Brown was a tool pusher in the oil field. He was a member of the Opelousas Masonic Lodge and past commander of the Opelousas Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a member of Bona Fidem Club of Opelousas, the Opelousas American Legion, and the National Rifle Association. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. Visitation begins 1 p.m. today at the Sibille Funeral Home in Opelousas, La. Funeral services will be Monday morning. Burial will be in the Bellevue Memorial Park cemetery in Opelousas. Survivors include; one son, Billy Roth, of Baton Rouge; one brother, James Brown, of Chocahoula, La; three sisters, Mrs. A.L. Beveridge, of Houma; Mrs. Audry Roth, of Baton Rouge; Mrs. A.L. Guy, of Lake Charles; and two grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lilly Mae Brown. Sibille Funeral Home in Opelousas is handing the arrangements.
