Feb. 8, 1982 Bruce Voisin The Falgout Canal Road Ferry has been temporarily closed after a 23-year-old Grand Caillou man was killed and another was injured when their pleasure boat snagged the ferry cable as the boat crossed the channel. Bruce Voisin of Route 6, Box 404, East Castleguard in Grand Caillou was thrown out of a 16 foot bass boat after it struck the cable stretched across the Houma Navigational Canal at about 5 p.m. Sunday. His body was recovered about six hours later by the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office. Survivors include his wife, Ramona DeHart Voisin; his step-mother, Mrs. Pauline Voisin, of Grand Caillou; one son, Chad Anthony DeHart, of Grand Caillou; one half-brother, Terry Mark Voisin, of Grand Caillou; four sisters, Mrs. Emery (Shirley) Dupre, Mrs. Douglas (Judy) Thibodaux and Mrs. Easton (Sharon) DeHart, all of Grand Caillou and Mrs. Donald (Beverly) Sons of Little Caillou; one step- , sister, Ms. Rebecca Hebert of Grand Caillou. He is preceded in death by his parents, Beulah Pellegrin and Morris Voisin; and one brother, Tillman Mark Voisin. Chauvin Funeral Home of Houma is handling the arrangements.
