Antoine Williams

Antoine Octave "AO" Williams, 71, a native of Reserve and resident of
Thibodaux since 1941, died 11 a.m. Tuesday in Alexandria.

He was a retired insurance agent; was on the board of directors for the
Thibodaux Kiwanis Club; founder and first president of the Diocean Holy
Name Society; member of Knights of Columbus council 1114; past president
of the St. Joseph Holy Name Society; and a member of the ED White
Carnival Club.

Visitation will be 6:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. Thursday at the Co-cathedral,
resuming 8 a.m. until funeral time.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday from St. Joseph Co-cathedral,
Thibodaux.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Beatrice Constant Williams; six sons, Rev.
Kenneth Williams, Barry, David, Staff Sgt. Paul Williams, Timothy and
Thomas Williams; one daughter, Mrs. Connie W. Clingman; four brothers,
Sidney, lloyd, Allen and Roy Williams; four sisters, Mrs. Marie Benoit,
Mrs. Marguerite Talley, Mrs. Audrey Bienvenu; and six grandchildren.

Thibodaux-Robbins Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
