Kirby Rogers Sr.

Kirby Rogers Sr., 767 a native of Bourg and a resident of Jeanerette,
died 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The funeral was 3 p.m. Wednesday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic
Church.

Burial is in the church cemetery.

Survivors include seven sons, John, Michael, Roland and Frank Rogers of
all of Jeanerette, Kirby Rogers Jr. of Austin, TX, Robert Rogers of
Franklin and the Rev. Peter Rogers, S.J. of New Orleans; five daughters,
Rita and Ellen Rogers, Mrs. David Luke all of Jeanerette and Mrs.
Bernard Thibodaux and Mrs. Morris. Boudreaux of Lafayette; four
brothers, Noble Rogers, Alfred Rogers and Dallas Rogers all of Houma and
Roland Rogers of Des Allemands; two sisters, Mrs. C.P. Matherne of Bourg
and Mrs. O'Neal Bascle of Houma; 30 grandchildren; two great-
grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Marguerite Minville; his parents,
Seraphine Rogers and Josephine LeCompte; his brother Aubrey Rogers and
one sister, Mrs. Lucretia Hornsby.

W.L. Landry Funeral Home of Jeanerette is handling the arrangements.
