Quinton Short

Quinton Leon "Dobbie" Short, 20, a resident of Gibson, died Saturday by
drowning.

The funeral was 11 a.m. today at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church. Rev. James
Allen officiated.

Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Survivors include his parents, Lillian Mitchell and Joseph Short Jr. of
Gibson; four brothers, McCoy Short of Houma, Lynward Short of Thibodaux,
Howard Short of Gibson and Junius Short of New Orleans; three sisters,
Mrs. Bruce (Catherine) Wolfe of Gray, Mrs. Johnny (Crystal) Marks of
Gibson and Mrs. James (Lorenda) Howard of Houma; his grandmother, Mrs.
Nola Short of Gibson; and his fiancée, Miss Lisa Lewis of Houma.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph Short Sr., and Jake
and Delia Mitchell.

Community Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
