Marion Steward

Marion Steward, a resident and native of Chauvin, died Thursday at South
Louisiana Medical Center. She was 45.

Wake and funeral services will be 8:30 p.m. today at Mt. Olive Baptist
Church in Smithridge.

Dismissal will be at 11 a.m. Monday.

Burial will follow at the Union Benevolent Cemetery in Mechanicville.

Survivors include her father, Jerry Steward Sr. of Houston, Texas; three
daughters, Octavia Fry Holiday, Mary Ann Williams and Dionne Steward,
all of Chauvin; one son, Franklin D. Roosevelt Steward of Chauvin, and a
common-law husband, Frank Williams.

She is also survived by three sisters, Hilda Steward Johnson, Bertha
Steward Coleman and Barbara Steward McKinley, all of Houma; six
brothers, Raymond Steward of Montegut; Jerry Jr., Marvin and Royal
Steward of Houma; Rufus Steward of Chauvin, and Bobby Steward of Larose;
and by four grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Octavia Pete Steward; a brother,
Melvin Steward; and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Pete, and Mr.
and Mrs. Man Steward.

Community Funeral Home of Houma, Inc., is handling arrangements.
