Mar. 15, 1982 Wilbert Dhuet Wilbert John Dhuet Sr., 55, a native and resident of Houma, died Sunday afternoon. He was a World War II Veteran and a draftsman for Tarpon Construction. Visitation will be 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. today at the Chauvin Funeral Home, resuming 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. Tuesday; and will continue 8 a.m. Wednesday until funeral time. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday from the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, Gray. Survivors include his first wife, Connie Haygood; his second wife, Anna Mae LeBouef Dhuet; his mother, Mrs. Earl Beulah Blanchard, of Bayou Blue; one son, Wilbert Jr.; a step-son, C.J. LeCompte; four daughters, Mrs. Perry (Bernadette) Savoie, of Gladewater, TX, Mrs. Earl (Marlene) Michel and Mrs. Michael (Beryl) Cardwell, both of Houma, and Mrs. Michael (Rebecca) Lapic, of Bremeton, Washington; two brothers, Claude Dhuet, of North Hollywood, Calif, and Herbert Dhuet, of Houma; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Joseph (Beatrice) Mahalick, of Gray; and 12 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Irvin Dhuet; and one sister, Mrs. Ruth LeCourt. Chauvin Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
