May 25, 1982 Allen J. Bonvillain Allen Joseph "Babs" Bonvillain, 68, died 8:10 a.m. today. He was World War II veteran, a retired derrik man for Texaco and a part-time deputy for the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. Wednesday and resume 8 a.m. Thursday until funeral time at the Chauvin Funeral Home. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in St. Francis No. 2 cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Bella Prejean Bonvillain; his mother, Mrs. Josephine Bonvillain; five daughters, Mrs. Roland (Betty) LeCompte Sr., Mrs. Craige (Earlie) Dupre, Mrs. Earl (Diane) Harris, Mrs. Philip (Bridget) Portier and Mrs. Rusty (Dabble) Grice; one brother, Wilbert O. Bonvillain; two sisters, Mrs. Dewey (Emily) Boudreaux and Mrs. Eugene (Aline) Dupre; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by his father, Clovis "Boy" Bonvillain; one brother, Earl Bonvillain; and one sister, Mrs. Paul (Marguerite) Locascio. Chauvin Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
