May 21, 1982 Roy Pierron dead at 66 A Houma man, active in both civic and community groups in Terrebonne Parish, died Wednesday following a fatal crash. Roy Joseph Pierron, 66, a resident of this area for many years was a 25 year member of the Elks Lodge in Houma, the VFW, the American Legion and also held many offices in the Houma Boat Association. He owned Roy's Supermarket, many years ago and was running two businesses in the area, Roy Pierron Towing and H and R Towing of Houma. His funeral arrangements are incomplete as of press time but will be held in the Chauvin Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Terrebonne Memorial Park cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Hyacinthe Carline Pierron; his first wife, Isaure Gaston Pierron; three sons, Errol Patrick Pierron, of Houma, 2nd Lt. Bradley James Pierron, of Korea and Danny Seymour, of Natchitoches; two daughters, Mrs. Ellen P. Moore, of Houma and Mrs. Michael C. (Christine) Bourgeois, of Chackbay; three brothers, Ray Pierron, of Chauvin, Frank Pierron, of Port Arthur, TX and Richard Pierron, of Houma; and two sisters, Mrs. Blaise (Helen) Waguespack and Mrs. Walter (Cecil) Prejean, both of Houma. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mable Picou and Arthur Pierron; his stepmother, Marguerite Chauvin Pierron; one brother, Wilber Pierron. Chauvin Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
