Nov 14, 1982 Charles Redmond Charles Redmond, 90, a native of Bourg and a resident of Houma, died at 6:35 p.m. Friday. A veteran of World War I, he served as a police officer for the City of Houma and as a deputy for the parish during the 1930s. He was employed by the former Terrebonne Ice Company on East Park Avenue until his retirement. Visitation will be from 3 until 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Monday at the funeral home. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Chauvin Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Roland (Marie) LeBoeuf of Houma and Mrs. James (Beulah "Boo") Stevens of Thibodaux; one brother, Jeffrey Redmond of Baytown, Texas; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Delea Trosclair Redmond; his parents, Susan Hebert and James Redmond; seven brothers, John, James, Enos, Allen, Dave, George and Ranney Redmond; and five sisters, Amelia Martin, Laura Ellender, Marie Walker, Agnes Trahan and Clara Redmond. Chauvin Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
