Julia Van Buren

Religious services have been scheduled at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph
Co- Cathedral for Julia A. Van Buren, 68, a native of Labadieville and
resident of Terrebonne Parish for 36 years, who died at 1:45 a.m.
Tuesday. She was the wife of the late Isaiah M. Van Buren Sr..; daughter
of the late George Adams Louise Smith Adams; mother of Eddie Adams; New
Orleans; Samuel Adams, Norfolk, Va.; Isaiah "Mike" Van Buren Jr.,
Schriever; Mrs. Estelle Brown and Mrs. Louise Henry, Houma; sister of
Gus Adams, Labadieville; Levi Adams, San Francisco, Calif.; Nelson
Adams, New Orleans; Mrs. Hazel Starks, Labadieville; and the late Edward
Adams and Geneva Talbert. She is survived by 13 grandchildren and 11
great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by grandchild, Jessie
Brown Jr.
