Jesse Collins

Wake and funeral services have been scheduled for 8 p.m. today at
Evening Star Baptist Church, Harvey, for Jesse Collins, 91, a native of
Thibodaux and resident of Harvey, who died at 12:10 p.m. Friday.
Dismissal services have been scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday with
'interment in New Hope Cemetery. He was the husband of the lateRuth
Hammond Collins; father of Mrs. Jesse Young, Mrs. Vera Meyers, Mrs.
Mildred Collins, Mrs. Marietta Simon, Mrs. Edith Butler and Judge Lionel
R. Collins, the late Mrs. Lavinia Golnes, Mrs. Juanita Montgomery and
Edward L. Collins. He is survived by 45 grandchildren, 75
great-grandchildren and 10 great-great- grandchildren.
