Submitted by: Chris Tidwell William Ford Funeral services have been scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Gertrude Catholic Church, Des Allemands, for William Edward Ford, 86, who died at 3:30 a.m. today. Interment is scheduled for St. Mary Catholic Church Cemetery, Raceland,. Visitiation will be from 2-11 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at St. Gertrude Hall, Des Allemands. He was the husband of Lydie Bergeron; father of Patrick Ford, Mrs. Roland (Myrtle) Tastet, Mrs. Melvin (Mary Ann) Vanacor, all of Des Allemands, Bill Ford, Mrs. Wilmont (Ada) Matherne, both of Houma, Richard Ford, Mrs. Andrew (Marian) Blanchard, both of Bridge City, Mrs. Clifton (Catherine) Fonseca of Raceland, James Ford of Baton Rouge, Paul Ford of Texas, and the late Shirley, Douglas, William Jr. and Earl Ford; bother of Mrs. Mary Champagne, Mrs. Susan Champagne, Joseph and Patrick Ford, all of Luling, Mrs. Rosie Nunez, Mrs. Ann Thibodaux and Mrs. Edith Aupied, all of New Orleans, Henry Ford of Boutte and the late Mrs. Martha Roberts and Peter Ford Sr. He is survived by 36 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.
