Amy Celestin Booker

A Mass of Christian burial has been scheduled for 7:30 p.m. today at St.
Ansylmn Catholic Church in Inglewood, Calif., for Amy Celestin Booker,
72, a native of St. James and a longtime resident of Los Angeles,
Calif., who died Saturday. Dismissal will be at Pierce Brothers Mortuary
in Inglewood. She was the wife of Kinney I. Brooker; mother of Mrs.
Kinamy B. Hunter of Los Angeles, and Darlene Booker, New York, N.Y.; and
the sister of Myrtle C. Martin and Rita C. Jones, both of Los Angeles,
Mrs. Daisy C. Allen, St. James, William Curtis Celestin, Bay St. Louis,
Miss., and Othello O. Celestine, Donaldsonville. She is also survived by
nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ophelia B.
Chason; and a son; Kinney Idis Booker Jr.
