Emmett L. Howes

Graveside services have been scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Friday at Howes
Family Cemetery in Ponchatoula, for Emmett Lee Howes, 83, a native of
Ponchatoula and resident of Baton Rouge, who died Wednesday at 4:45 a.m.
in Baton Rouge. Visitation will be from 4-10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m.
until funeral time Friday at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs. He
was the husband of Mildred Pittman Howes, Baton Rouge; father of Terrell
Howes, Denham Springs, and Michael W. Howes, Thibodaux; brother of Mrs.
Margaret Wittie, Hammond, Mrs. Ruby Dean, Ponchatoula, Mrs. Clara
Brunning, Covington, Mrs. Mildred Knight, Franklinton, Henry M. and Bert
C. Howes, Ponchatoula, Joseph Howes, Covington, and Ted Howes, Delhi. He
is survived by seven grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family
request donations be made to the Greater Baton Rouge Cancer Society.
