Gilbert Lafont

Funeral services have been scheduled for 9 a.m. Tuesday at Mothe Funeral
Home, Harvey, for Gilbert (Johnny) Lafont, 58, a native of Cut Off and a
resident of Marrero, who died at 5:40 p.m. Saturday. A mass of Christian
Burial is scheduled immediately following in the funeral home chapel
with interment in Westlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will from 6 p.m.
until midnight today. He was the husband of Frances Lomonaco Lafont; son
of Mrs. Leoncia Schouest Lafont and the late Lawerence Lafont; father of
Mrs. Catherine L. Verges; brother of the late Owen J. Lafont. He is
