Submitted by: Chris Tidwell Philomene Butcher Services will be held at the Falgout Funeral Home Chapel in Houma at 10 a.m. Wednesday for Philomene Butcher, 86, a native of Raceland and a resident of Houma, who died at 4:20 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in the St. Francis No. 2 Cemetery in Houma. Visitation will be today from 2 to 10 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m. until funeral time. She was the mother of Mrs. Avery J. (Louisa) Lirette of Houma and Charles P. Butcher Jr. of Houma. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles P. Butcher Sr.; her parents, Philibert Guichet and Louisa Berret; six brothers Eugene, Guichet, Ernest Guichet, Joseph Guichet, Jean-Lui Guichet, Philiberl Guichet Jr., and Philip Guichet; and six sisters; Mrs. Armond (Eugenia) Danos, Mrs. Clay (Ernestine) Melancon, Mrs. Forrest (Josephine) Bollinger, Mrs. F.P. (Jeanette) Bourg, Mrs. Noah (Viola) Ness and Octavie Guichet.
