Submitted by: Chris Tidwell Edgar L. Allen Sr. Religious services have been scheduled for 2:30 p.m. today at Charlet Funeral Home, Clinton, for Edgar L. Allen Sr., 74, a native of Greensburg and a resident of Baker who died Monday at 2:12 a.m. at Lane Memorial Hospital in Zachary. Visitation had been scheduled from 8 a.m. until funeral time today at the funeral home, with interment in Center Methodist Church Cemetery. He was the husband of Wilma Redmond Allen of Baker; father of Gracie Darvon of Jackson, Polly Forbes, Charles and Edgar L. Allen Jr., all of Baker, Eudora Bandy of Moreauville. Helen Fay O'Quin of Pierre Part, Dorothy Bradham of Gloster, Miss., Russell Allen of Sue St. Marie, Mich., and Edward Allen of Greensburg; and brother of Gracie Allen of New Jersey, Prentice Ray Allen of Baker, Dan and Billy Allen, both of Greensburg, Gene and Charles Allen, both of Baton Rouge. He is also survived by 32 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
