Ayda Adams Gonzales

Religious services have been scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John
the Evangelist Catholic Church in Plaquemine for Ayda Adams Gonzales,
98, a native of Labadieville and a resident of Plaquemine, who died at
4:45 p.m. Saturday at River West Medical Center in Plaquemine.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be at Wilbert Funeral Home in Plaquemine from 3:30 to 10
p.m. today and from 8 until 9:45 a.m. Tuesday.

She was the mother of Ignace (Vivian) Tullier, Plaquemine; Lillian
Albert, Baton Rouge; Mrs. William (Jeanne) Brown, Morgan City; Mrs. R.P.
(Lucy) Atwood, Algiers; Mrs. Lawrence (Anita) Hebert, Pride, Eddie,
Louis and Allen Gonzales, Chalmette, and George Gonzales, New Orleans.

She is also survived by 38 grandchildren, 71 great-grandchildren and 16
great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lucian Gonzales; and two sons,
Peter and John Gonzales.
