Elvira Alexis

Wake and funeral services will be held today at 8 p.m. from St. John
Baptist Church in Napoleonville for Elvira Alexis, 56, a native and
resident of Thibodaux.She was the wife of Albert Alexis Sr.; the mother
of Annie Mae Lemmon, Rosalee Robertson, Albert Alexis Jr., Rose M.
Duncan and Lily Alexis; the sister of Rosetta Green of Thibodaux and
Junius Scott of Napoleonville. She is also survived by 16
grandchildren.She was preceded in death by one daughter, Lillian M.
Stewart; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ezikel Scott; one sister, Leola
Robinson; and a brother, Charlie Scott.Visitation will be at the church
from 5 p.m. today until funeral time. Dismissal services will be on
Friday at 11 a.m. with Interment in the church cemetery. Williams and
Southall Funeral Home in Thibodaux is in charge of arrangements.
