Paul Champagne

Funeral services were held today at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic
Church in Raceland for Paul Pierre Champagne, 83, a native and resident
of Raceland, who died Saturday at 6:43 p.m. in Raceland.Interment was in
the church cemetery.He is survived by a friend, Agatha. Falgoust; three
sons, Joseph, Julian and Clifton Champagne; two daughters, Mrs. Deanna
Gros and Mrs. Anne Breaux; two brothers, Paulin and Eugene Champagne;
one sister, Mrs. Georgenia Foret; 15 grandchildren and 12
great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his wife, Olive
Waguespack Champagne; his parents, Camile and Azelia Baudoin Champagne;
one daughter, Gracie Champagne; brothers, Albert, Alcess, Joseph, Olize
and Olezime Champagne; and two sisters, Louise Verdin and Angela
Babin.Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland was in charge of arrangements.
