Guy Joseph Hargis

Religious services were held Wednesday at Sacred Heart Chapel in
Carville for Guy Joseph Hargis, 78, a native of Raceland and a resident
of Carville, who died at 6 a.m. Tuesday in Carville.

Burial was in Carville Cemetery.

He was the father of Mrs. Rose Marie Gonzales of Gretna and Joseph 'Bob'
Hargis of Arabie; and the brother of Sophie Wichers and Anthony Hargis.

He is also survived by seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary Carbbo; his parents,
Charles L. and Emily Breaux Hargis; and 11 brothers and sisters, Able,
Andrew, Charles, Oliver, Emile and Henry Hargis, Mathilde, Adelle,
Valerie, Emily and Juanita Hargis. Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales is in
charge of arrangements.
