Evelyn Rosie Brown

Wake and funeral services have been scheduled for 8 p.m. today at St.
Paul Baptist Church in New Orleans for Evelyn Rosie Brown, who died at
10:55 a.m. Saturday.

Interment will be in Providence Memorial Park.

Dismissal will be at the church at 10 a.m. Thursday.

She was the sister of Lee Anna Lee, James Brown, Sarah B. Blackwell,
Anna Mae Bordelon, Warren Brown, Warren, Eugene and Amy Ellis of
Thibodaux; and the adopted mother of Karen Ann and Joseph Brown.

She was also survived by six grandchildren and a host of
great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Anna D. Brown; her
husband, Henry Smith; a sister, Rowena Brown; and a son, Percy Johnson.
