Whitney S. David

Services from Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home in New Orleans were to be held
this morning for Whitney S. David, 79, a native of Labadieville and a
resident of New Orleans for 63 years, who died at 9 a.m. Saturday.

Interment was in St. Joseph Cemetery No. 1.He was the husband of Emma
Songy David; father of Whitney Jr. and Edward David; and the brother of
Octave David.

He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Roland David; seven brothers and
sisters, Philip David, Mrs. Zori Andrew, Mrs. Leah Cousin, Lodias,
Leonard, Paul and Rosa David; and his parents Paul L. David and Eva
Lasseigne.
