Paul Jones Jr.

Funeral services were to be held today at noon at First Baptist Church
in Vacherie for Paul Jones Jr., 91, a resident of Vacherie, who died
Thursday at 11 a.m. at Veterans Administration Hospital in New Orleans.

Interment was to be in the Church Cemetery with the Rev. Lucien R.
Garrett officiated.

He was the husband of the late Virginia R. Jones by his first marriage
and the late Claudia C. Jones by a second marriage; father of Lucy Jones
Johnson; stepfather of Helen C. Lee of New Orleans, Napoleon Carey Sr.
of Vacherie, brother of Houston Jones of Lamar and Mrs. Octavia Jones
Mencer of Baton Rouge.

He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and two
great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lucy and Paul Jones Sr.; a
brother Ernest Jones and one grandchild.

Arrangements were by Southall Westside Funeral Home.
