Southern Louis Sr.

Wake and funeral services will be held tonight at 9 from New Mount
Pilgrim Baptist Church, 146 Bank Street in Houma, for Southern Louis
Sr., 62, a resident of San Francisco, Calif., and native of Houma, who
died May 18 at 11:30 p.m.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Julin Louis of San Francisco; one son,
Southern Louis Jr. of San Jose; three daughters, Cheryl Louis of
Chicago, Yvette and Chrystal Louis of San Francisco; two brothers,
William C. Kemp of Sacramento, Calif., Willie Kemp of Franklin, Ada K.
Lewis, Augustine K. Lagarde and Geraldine K. Scott, all or Houma; and
five grand children.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Louis and Mrs. Annie
Kemp; and one brother, Sherman Kemp.

Visitation is from 5 p.m. until funeral time tonight.

Dismissal at 11 a.m. Saturday and interment in Union Benevolent Cemetery
in Houma, the Rev. Richard Payne Jr. officiating. Mercy Funeral Home in
Raceland in charge of arrangements.
