Gloria Spencer

Wake and funeral services are scheduled for 8 p.m. today from the Little
Zion Baptist Church in Marrero for Gloria Spencer, 50, a resident of
Marrero, who died Monday at 7:28 p.m.She was the wife of Clarence
Spencer; the former wife of Henry Mitchell Sr.; the mother of Marvin,
Melvin, Letetia and Henry Mitchell Jr.; the foster-mother of Milton
Carter; the daughter of Wilbert Pike; the granddaughter of Virginia
Lestrick of Thibodaux; and the sister of Leonard Jones and Julia Mae
Pike of Thibodaux, Marion P. Fulton, Dorothy P. Gilbert, Delores P.
Manuel, Earl Ray, Debra and Wilbert Pike Jr. She is also survived by
five grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy L.
Pike.Dismissal will be Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Our Lady
of Prompt Succor Cemetery in Westwego with dismissal from the church.
Arrangements are by Davis Mortuary Service in Gretna.
