Essie Mae Alexander

Funeral services have been scheduled for 8 p.m. Wednesday at Allen
Chapel A.M.E. Church, Thibodaux, for Essie Mae Alexander, 73, a native
Thibodaux and a resident of Baton Rouge who died Monday at 2:10 p.m.

Dismissal services have been scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday at the
church, with interment in Allen Benevolent Cemetery in Thibodaux.

Visitation is from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday.

She was the wife of the late Reginald A. Alexander; mother of Dr.
Reginald Alexander of Baton Rouge and Ronald Alexander of Thibodaux;
step-mother of Eula A. Mitchell of Chicago, Ill.; and daughter of the
late Edward and Josephine Buckley.

She is also survived by three granddaughters. Landry Funeral Home is in
charge of the arrangements.
