John Gage

Wake and funeral services have been scheduled for 8 p.m. Sunday from
Morning Star Baptist Church on Brusly Road for John Gage, 79, a resident
of Thibodaux, who died Thursday at 10:20 a.m.

He was the husband of Rebecca Gage; the father of John Gage Jr. and
Sonia Barbier; and the brother of Corinne Chapman and Ruthie Gage of
Gretna, and Martha Young of Raceland.

He is also survived by eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Martha Williams Gage and John
Gage Sr.; brothers, Willie, Joseph and Andrew Gage; and sisters, Leola
White, Lillian Mart and Sophia Gage.

Dismissal services will be Monday at 11 a.m. with interment in the
church cemetery.

Arrangements are by Williams and Southall Funeral Home in Thibodaux.
