Joseph Borne

Funeral services have been scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday at St.
Genevieve Catholic Church in Thibodaux for Joseph E. Borne Sr., a native
of Assumption Parish and resident of Thibodaux, who died Tuesday at
10:30 p.m.

Visitation is scheduled 5-10 p.m. today at Landry's Funeral Home in
Thibodaux and 8 a.m. until funeral time Thursday. Interment is in St.
Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux.

He was the husband of Shirley Zeringue Borne and father of Mrs. Kevin
(Catherine) Pontif, Monica Mayet, Joseph, Gerard, John, Leo and Anthony
Borne. He is also survived by one brother, Alcide Borne, and nine
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmanuel J. and Eugenie
Melancon Borne; brothers, Calvin, Willie and Charles Borne and by his
sister, Catherine B. Guillot.Landry's Funeral Home is in charge of the
arrangements.
