Mamie Hood

Wake and funeral services have been scheduled for 8 p.m. today at New
Fountain Baptist Church, Lockport, for Mamie Hood, 57, a native and
resident of Lafourche Parish, who died at 9:35 p.m. on Dec. 10.

Dismissal services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
Visitation is scheduled 5 p.m. today until funeral time. Interment is in
the church cemetery.

She was the mother of Denise Evans, Phillip and Wilbert Hood; and sister
of Ada Taplain, Gussie Johnson, Mary, John and Willie Ray Smith. She is
also survived by three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cordelia and Charlie Johnson;
daughter, Denise Hood; sister, Viola Collins; and brother, Joseph
Smith.Cager Funeral Home, Raceland, is in charge of the arrangements.
