Ida Boudreaux

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at St. John the
Evangelist Catholic Church for Ida Mire Boudreaux, 96, a native and
resident of Thibodaux who died Tuesday.Mrs. Boudreaux was educated at
Normal State School in Natchitoches and taught in the Lafourche Parish
School system for 35 years before her retirement from L.T. School as a
sixth grade geography teacher. Prior to her appointment at L.T., she
served as principal of St. Anne School in the St. John community. She
taught under the late school superintendents W.S. Lafargue and Robert O.
Moncla.

Visitation is scheduled today 4-9 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. until funeral
time at Landry's Funeral Home. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery.

She was the stepmother of Joseph Boudreaux of Baton Rouge and Henrietta
Eckers of Gulfport, Miss.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Boudreaux; her parents,
Gustave Mire and Adellia Bernard; five brothers, Omar, Oscar, Lubin,
Ellis and John Mire; and two sisters, Mrs. Gustave (Adella) Legendre and
Mrs. O.B. (Therese) Ducos.Landry's Funeral Home is in charge of
arrangements.
